Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 2026
1. Privacy at a glance
Protecting your personal data is important to us. This privacy policy informs you about which data is processed when you use interdown.com and what rights you have. Interdown is a service that displays the real-time status of popular online services. No registration or provision of personal data is required to use it.
2. Controller
The controller responsible for data processing on this website is:
Ben Luis KrauseEnzstraße 23
71706 Markgröningen
Germany
Email: lunatical.mail@gmail.com
3. Hosting
This website is hosted by Vercel Inc., 340 S Lemon Ave #4133, Walnut, CA 91789, USA. When you access the website, technically necessary connection data (e.g. IP address, date and time of access, page visited, amount of data transferred) is automatically processed in server log files. This is necessary for the secure and stable provision of the website. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in technically error-free operation). As Vercel may also process data in the USA, any such transfer takes place on the basis of the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
4. Database and outage reports
To provide the status displays, we store outage reports that users trigger via the “I have a problem” button. Only the affected service and the time of the report are stored. No names, accounts or other personal data of the reporting persons are stored; the reports are anonymous. The data is processed in a database provided by Turso (libSQL). The legal basis is Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in providing meaningful status information). To prevent abuse (duplicate and spam reports), we store with each report, rating and comment a non-reversible hash of the IP address generated with a secret key. The IP address itself is not stored; the hash is used solely for the time-limited rate limiting of submissions.
5. Consent and cookies
For the pure operation of the website, we do not set any cookies that require consent. Analytics services that require consent (Google Analytics, see section 6) are only loaded after you have actively consented via our cookie notice. In addition, we use Vercel Web Analytics (see section 7), an analytics service that works without cookies and does not store or read any information on your device; it is therefore not subject to the consent requirement of § 25 (1) TDDDG. Storing and reading information on your device that is not strictly necessary takes place exclusively on the basis of your consent pursuant to § 25 (1) TDDDG (German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act). We store your decision (“Accept” or “Decline”) locally in your browser so that we do not ask you again; this storage is technically necessary and requires no consent. You can withdraw or change your consent at any time with effect for the future via the “Cookie settings” link in the footer.
6. Google Analytics
After your consent, we use Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (“Google”). Google Analytics helps us understand how visitors use the website (e.g. pages visited, approximate geographic region, device and browser used, time spent and interactions) so that we can improve interdown. For this purpose, cookies or comparable technologies are used and a pseudonymous identifier is processed. The IP address is shortened or anonymized by Google Analytics and is not permanently stored together with other data.
The legal basis for this processing is your consent pursuant to Art. 6 (1)(a) GDPR in conjunction with § 25 (1) TDDDG. You can withdraw your consent at any time via “Cookie settings” in the footer; the lawfulness of processing carried out up to the withdrawal remains unaffected.
The recipient of the data is Google as a processor; we have concluded a data processing agreement with Google. A transfer to the USA to Google LLC cannot be ruled out. Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework; in addition, the EU Standard Contractual Clauses serve as appropriate safeguards. The user-related data collected via Google Analytics is automatically deleted after 14 months by default. For more information, see Google’s privacy policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy.
7. Vercel Web Analytics
For audience measurement we use Vercel Web Analytics, a service provided by our hosting provider Vercel Inc., 340 S Lemon Ave #4133, Walnut, CA 91789, USA. The service works without cookies and does not store or read any information on your device; consent pursuant to § 25 (1) TDDDG is therefore not required. It collects aggregated usage data such as pages visited, referrer, country, browser and device type. To distinguish individual visits, a pseudonymous hash is derived from the incoming request and expires after 24 hours; the IP address is not permanently stored, and visitors are not recognized across different websites.
The legal basis is Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in the statistical analysis and improvement of our service). The recipient of the data is Vercel as a processor. As Vercel may also process data in the USA, any such transfer takes place on the basis of the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. For more information, see https://vercel.com/docs/analytics/privacy-policy.
8. SSL/TLS encryption
For security reasons, this site uses SSL/TLS encryption. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the fact that the browser’s address bar changes from “http://” to “https://”.
9. Your rights
Within the framework of the statutory provisions, you have the right at any time to information (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16 GDPR), erasure (Art. 17 GDPR), restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR), data portability (Art. 20 GDPR) and a right to object (Art. 21 GDPR). Insofar as processing is based on your consent, you may withdraw it at any time with effect for the future pursuant to Art. 7 (3) GDPR. An informal message to the contact details above is sufficient to exercise these rights. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.
